During my BSc in Psychology at KU Leuven, I quickly discovered that I find the human brain incredibly fascinating. It is simultaneously so powerful and resilient, yet also so fragile. This fascination has been chasing me for a few years now and I can’t seem to shake it off. After my BSc, I pursued a MSc in Clinical Child Psychology at KU Leuven. Whilst working on my master’s thesis on face recognition skills of children with and without ASD, under supervision of both prof. Hans Op de Beeck and Lien Peters, I discovered that I liked “the science behind it all” more than I had ever anticipated.
Since September 2024, I have joined the Neuropsychology Lab. As a clinical project assistant, I will support the team wherever I can. One of the first projects I get to work on is Laura Soen’s, looking at visual recognition problems after brain damage, specifically after a stroke.
