Vacancy: Job student – Software developer for Virtual Reality stroke rehabilitation app in 360 degrees

Task description:

Neuropsychology Lab is looking for a job student that will develop and finetune the software needed for optimizing our stroke rehabilitation app in Virtual Reality (see www.hemirehapp.com). Software is written in Unity using C#, which is linked to VIVE hardware (including tracking of the rotation of the HMD, eye-tracking and external body tracking). A total of 160 working hours are anticipated between June and September. You will be supervised by prof. Céline Gillebert, dr. Hanne Huygelier, and dr. Joyce Bosmans.

Practical considerations:

Estimated 160 working hours to be completed by the end of September. Concrete schedule to be discussed and flexible. Possible extension with additional work hours.

Profile job student:

Preference will be given to someone with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in (applied) computer science or related field, along with an excellent knowledge of C# and Unity, a rigorous work ethic, and a positive attitude. Expertise in VR development is of added value. Dutch and/or English speaking. You can preferably work independently, are conscientious and accurate, respect deadlines and you can communicate clearly about the project.
