HEMIRehApp training study
- On 17/12/2024
🎉 Excited to share our first-ever peer-reviewed and pre-registered report, now published in the Journal of Neuropsychology! 🚀
Our study focused on using immersive virtual reality (iVR) multisensory training to enhance recovery of post-stroke spatial neglect. Despite our enthusiasm and careful planning, we encountered challenges that made our initial cross-over design infeasible, primarily due to the lower than expected prevalence of spatial neglect and length of the study protocol.
While we couldn’t execute the study as planned, we believe in the value of transparent science. By sharing these hurdles, we hope to help other researchers navigate similar challenges when designing rehabilitation studies. A huge thank you to the caregivers and patients who made this study possible! 🙏
